Horseback Riding

Horseback riding at Sun Mountain Lodge is an enchanting journey through the picturesque Cascade Mountains. Guided by experienced wranglers, riders traverse scenic trails, surrounded by lush forests and wildflower-filled meadows. It’s an unforgettable connection with nature’s beauty and tranquility. Horseback riding begins in May and continues through October 20th, currently operating Wednesday’s through Monday’s.

Pricing & Details

May through end of November (weather permitting). Children must be eight years old to ride. An adult must accompany children under seventeen. Weight restrictions apply. Advance registration is required.

TRAIL RIDE — Friday through Sunday @ 1pm

Cost |

$95 + Tax per person for ages eight and up on the 1.5-hour scenic ride

$25 + Tax per child for ages 3-8 on the 15-minute wrangler-led children’s rides

Pony Rides

Pony rides are available for children aged three through eight. Families are welcome to stay nearby and take photos.

Timing | offered Friday-Sunday 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Pricing | $25 for 15 minute rides

Please reserve your ride by 5 p.m. the evening before.

Rides are limited to groups of 10.

Check in with the Adventures Shop a half hour before your ride for payment.

Check in at the Stables 15 minutes before your ride for instructions and helmet fittings. Arrive early to experience the petting zoo.
