Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to oversee the operations of our quick-service fast-food restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong leadership skills, and a background in food service management.

Duties
– Manage all aspects of food service operations including food preparation, kitchen management, and cash handling
– Provide leadership and guidance to the team to ensure exceptional customer service

Experience

Room Director

Job Summary:

Sun Mountain Lodge, a premier destination known for its exceptional hospitality and stunning natural surroundings, is seeking a seasoned and dynamic Director of Rooms. The Director of Rooms will oversee the daily operations of the Rooms Division, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Guest Services. This position ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance in alignment with the Lodge’s luxury standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Guest Services staff to deliver exemplary service.
    • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective room operations.
    • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills and ensure adherence to service standards.
  • Guest Experience:
    • Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards of service and addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Oversee the resolution of guest issues and implement feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service quality.
    • Foster a culture of personalized service, ensuring all guests feel valued and well cared for.
  • Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the Rooms Division budget, ensuring cost control and profitability.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to room occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop strategies to maximize room occupancy and revenue.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet the Lodge’s high standards.
    • Implement and maintain inventory control systems for linens, supplies, and equipment.
    • Coordinate with the Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure all guest room facilities are functioning optimally.
  • Human Resources:
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
    • Manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage while optimizing labor costs.
  • Compliance & Safety:
    • Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
    • Regularly review and update safety protocols to protect guests and staff.
    • Oversee emergency response procedures related to the Rooms Division.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the Rooms Division.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Guest Services.
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional guest service and driving financial performance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the property for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Controller

Company Overview:

Sun Mountain Lodge is a prestigious and well-established lodge nestled in the stunning North Cascades of Washington State. Surrounded by the beauty of nature and offering world-class hospitality, we provide our guests with a memorable experience that celebrates the splendor of the outdoors. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail–oriented Controller to join our team and contribute to the lodge’s continued success.

 

Position Overview:

As the Controller at Sun Mountain Lodge, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the lodge’s financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, implementing sound financial practices, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and a passion for the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Presents reports to lodge management and ownership.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage lodge budgets, ensuring financial goals and objectives are met. Provide accurate financial forecasts to guide decision-making.
  3. Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
  4. Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital to meet the lodge’s financial obligations.
  5. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis and trend analysis, to identify opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement.
  6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal lodge policies. Coordinate financial audits and liaise with auditors.
  7. Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management processes to minimize shrinkage and ensure accurate reporting.
  8. Vendor Management: Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing. Maintain relationships with key suppliers.
  9. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the lodge’s finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  10. Advisory Role: Provide financial insights and recommendations to lodge management and ownership to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
  • Hospitality experience is required. Food and Beverage experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Salary: $85k-$110K

Housekeeper

Job Summary:

As a Housekeeper at Sun Mountain Lodge, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our guest accommodations and public areas, ensuring an exceptional experience for our guests. MUST BE LOCAL

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cleaning and Maintenance
  • Clean guest rooms, including changing linens, sanitizing bathrooms, and dusting.
  • Maintain clean floors, common areas, and public spaces.
  • Restock supplies and report maintenance issues.

 

  1. Laundry Duties
  • Collect and launder linens neatly.
  • Fold and store linens neatly.
  • Operate laundry equipment safely.

 

  1. Guest Interaction
  • Interact with guests professionally and assist with requests.
  • Respect “do not disturb” signs and guests’ privacy.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous Housekeeping experience is preferred.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds consistently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Be able to perform pushing/pulling actions up to 15 pounds constantly, and up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Be able to work with all cleaning products.
  • Availability to work weekend and holidays.
