Job Overview:
Sun Mountain Lodge is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Night Auditor

Job Summary:

The Night Auditor at Sun Mountain Lodge plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial accuracy and smooth operation of the Lodge during overnight hours. This position is responsible for handling various financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and providing exceptional guest service, all while maintaining the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Duties:

  • Conduct the nightly audit process, including balancing and reconciling all resort revenue streams, such as room revenue, food and beverage, and other outlets.
  • Verify the accuracy of all guests transactions, including room charges, cash payments, credit card transactions, and discounts
  • Prepare and distribute daily financial reports and summaries to the management team.
  • Address discrepancies or errors promptly and report them to the appropriate department.

Guest Services:

  • Provide a warm and welcoming environment for late-arriving and departing guests, offering assistance and answering inquiries as needed.
  • Handle check-ins and check-outs for guests arriving or departing during the night shift.
  • Respond to guest requests and concerns, resolving issues or escalating them to the appropriate department when necessary.

Security and Safety:

  • Monitor the security cameras and ensure the safety and security of guests and the property during the night
  • Conduct routine safety checks and report any suspicious activity or incidents to the proper authorities

Administrative Tasks:

  • Update and maintain guest records and reservations in the property management system
  • Assist with the preparation of the daily schedule for housekeeping and maintenance staff.
  • Perform various clerical duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, and handling paperwork

Cash Handling

  • Safely handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions
  • Prepare cash deposits and ensure the accuracy of cash drawer balances.
  • Follow resort policies and procedures for secure cash handling and reporting.

Communication

  • Maintain effective communication with other departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Relay important information to the daytime front office team and management.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all resort policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required financial and operational reports to management.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in accounting or hospitality is a plus
  • Previous experience in night audit, accounting, or front desk operations is preferred
  • Proficiency in property management systems and accounting software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle responsibility during night shifts.

Position Overview:

As the Controller at Sun Mountain Lodge, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the lodge’s financial operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, implementing sound financial practices, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and a passion for the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Presents reports to lodge management and ownership.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage lodge budgets, ensuring financial goals and objectives are met. Provide accurate financial forecasts to guide decision-making.
  3. Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.

As a Gift Shop Clerk, you will be the face of our retail operations, assisting guests in selecting the perfect souvenirs and gifts, maintaining the shop’s appearance, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a passion for retail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist guests in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Provide product information, suggestions, and recommendations to help guests find what they are looking for.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints efficiently.

Sales & Transactions:

  • Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Manage cash and credit card transactions, ensuring proper handling and recording.

Inventory Management:
